Plan to amend the regulation on environmental and social impact assessment

The technical meeting of the PriSEC, Legal Working Group was held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the National Environmental Protection Agency, chaired by Aniseh Ahrara, Head of the Commercial Law Department.

 

In this meeting, the regulation of environmental and social impact assessment was discussed. As a result, it was decided that the National Environmental Protection Agency would compile a list of enterprises and activities that do not require the approval of the National Environmental Protection Agency in the next two weeks and submit it to the fourth meeting of the PriSEC Legal Working Group. To identify the relevant legislative documents and try to amend them. Amendments to this regulation will speed up the process of registering enterprises and make exceptions for the registration of enterprises that do not require an environmental permit.

 

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Second Vice President of the Republic of Afghanistan, the Ministry of Justice, the Chamber of Craftsmen, the National Environmental Protection Agency, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Chamber of Industries and Mines and the Secretariat of the PriSEC Committee.
